The Civil War Weekend at Historic Liendo Plantation is a unique way to experience the grandeur and passion of the Victorian era versus the harsh reality of a war fought between States and Brothers. Battles will be performed Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM.
Camp Life, along with Artillery, Cavalry, Infantry, Medical, and civilian demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the day. Lectures on the plantation's rich history will be held in the Historical Society tent.
Folk Life Demonstrations such as Spinning, Weaving, Quilting, Smithing, Soap, Broom, and Furniture making will be ongoing throughout the weekend.
Popular Music of the 1860's will be played on the front lawn each day by a period orchestra, and dances of the period will be performed.
